Walberg Kicks Off General Election with TV Ad Focused on Vocational Training

Jackson, MI — Congressman Tim Walberg’s campaign is airing its first television advertisement of 2016, which is focused on Tim’s commitment to expanding vocational training.

As Tim said in this television spot, “It’s vital for Michigan workers to get the skills they need for twenty-first century jobs. That’s why I’ve voted to improve and expand vocational opportunities. It helps our students, our Veterans, and workers transitioning to a new career.”

He continued, “Not everyone will pursue a college degree. But everyone deserves the chance to have a good job. The job market is changing. We need to get Americans back to work.”

Congressman Walberg serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee and strongly supported the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which is bipartisan legislation signed into law that will enhance local vocational training opportunities. Additionally, Tim voted for legislation to expand vocational training opportunities for veterans and hosted Veteran Fairs to help link veterans to educational opportunities.
