Senator Mike Nofs Endorses Tim Walberg
Tipton, MI- Michigan Senator Mike Nofs, who represents Calhoun and most of Jackson County, today announced his endorsement of Tim Walberg’s candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. Senator Nofs won the special election last November by 27% to fill the seat held by current Congressman Mark Schauer.
Sen. Mike Nofs said:
“We need Tim Walberg back in the U.S. House fighting for Michigan jobs and protecting taxpayers' hard earned money. Tim cares about south central Michigan families and small businesses, takes the time to listen, and will no doubt challenge the overspending status quo in Washington D.C. He is the only candidate in this race who truly understands the district’s issues. I strongly endorse Tim and urge all Republicans to unite behind his campaign so we can focus on a victory in November."
Tim Walberg made the following statement:
“I truly appreciate Senator Nofs’ endorsement and look forward to joining him in the effort to turn Michigan’s economy around. Mike is a leader with real ideas to bring more jobs to Michigan, and a commitment to look out for and listen to the citizens he represents. Mike understands the genuine concerns of Calhoun and Jackson County families and small businesses, and I am delighted we will be working together for victory this November, so we can build a stronger Michigan.”
