Walberg talks financial benefits program with Adrian Lowe’s employees
From The Daily Telegram:
ADRIAN — U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg met Friday with employees at the Adrian Lowe’s store about their recent benefits enhancement.
Walberg, R-Tipton, spent 45 minutes Friday touring the home improvement store on Division Street, speaking with employees and answering questions they had about efforts to bring tax and benefits relief to constituents.
Lowe’s recently announced plans to enhance benefits, including expanded maternity and parental leave as well as adoption assistance, according to a news release. The program is tied to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act bill signed in December by President Donald Trump.
The company also plans to offer a one-time bonus of up to $1,000 to its more than 260,000 hourly employees. The bonus will be paid in addition to the company’s long-standing, store-level bonus program.
