Tim is proud of his proven conservative record, which has earned him the highest lifetime American Conservative Union score out of the entire Michigan Congressional delegation and the highest in the 117^th Congress. Upholding the Constitution is his top priority. He also has a 98% score from Heritage Action this Congress. Tim is a strong defender of the Second Amendment, cosponsoring legislation to allow conceal carry reciprocity, which would allow your permit to be valid in other jurisdictions. Tim is the only candidate endorsed by the NRA.

 

 

Due to runaway spending in Washington, our country is facing a historic inflation crisis. He has been a vocal advocate for a balanced budget amendment. Families across Michigan must balance their budget, and it is time for the federal government to do the same. Tim has supported legislation that would prevent any legislation that would increase the crippling inflation hitting hardworking families hardest.

 

Tim is also a staunch defender of life, exhibiting a long record as being one of the most vocal defenders of life in Congress. His commitment to protecting life has earned numerous recognitions from organizations like the Susan B. Anthony List and the Family Research Council. He is the only candidate in MI-05 with an endorsement from Michigan Right to Life and National Right to Life.

 

Despite Nancy Pelosi’s attempts to federalize our elections, Tim knows Article I of the Constitution is clear: state legislatures have the prerogative of overseeing their election law. When it comes to federal ballots, Tim was an original cosponsor of the Save Democracy Act which would make commonsense safety and transparency requirements such as proof of identification and banning ballot harvesting.

 

Tim is also a proud champion for farmers, and he’s the only candidate with the Michigan Farm Bureau’s endorsement.
